Senior Manager Human Resources
About the Role: The Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP), the Self-Regulatory Organization for Pakistan’s fund management industry, is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR professional to lead its Human Resources function. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead MUFAP’s Human Resources function and work closely with the CEO and the Board’s Human Resources & Remuneration Committee. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing MUFAP’s approved HR framework, leading recruitment and onboarding, managing performance appraisals, supporting employee wellbeing and development, overseeing HR operations, and serving as Secretary to the Committee. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding and probation management.
- Implement MUFAP’s approved HR policies, compensation framework and employee benefits.
- Review HR policies, compensation and benefits structures annually and recommend updates for management and HR&R Committee consideration.
- Manage the annual performance-appraisal cycle, including objective setting, evaluations and performance calibration.
- Coordinate employee learning, professional development, and succession-planning initiatives.
- Monitor employee engagement, well-being, retention, and workplace concerns, and implement practical initiatives to maintain a positive, respectful, and high-performing work environment.
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters fairly and confidentially.
- Administer employee benefits, insurance, leave, attendance, and personnel records, and provide relevant employee information to Finance for payroll processing.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics and recommendations for management and the HR&R Committee.
- Serve as Secretary to the HR&R Committee, including preparation of agendas, working papers, minutes and implementation updates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, governance requirements and approved HR policies.
What We’re Looking For: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
- CHRP, SHRM, CIPD or another relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive HR experience including recruitment, performance management, employee development and HR operations.
- Experience independently managing or leading an HR function will be preferred.
- Experience in financial services, regulated entities, professional bodies or corporate organizations will be an advantage.
- Experience supporting a Board-level Human Resources & Remuneration Committee will be preferred.
- Strong communication, report-writing, minute-writing and stakeholder-management skills.
- High standards of integrity, fairness, discretion and confidentiality.

Research Analyst‑Industry Research & Analytics
About the Role: MUFAP, the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for Pakistan’s fund management industry, is seeking a Research Analyst – Industry Research & Analytics to support research and analytical work relating to Pakistan’s mutual fund and pension fund industry. The role focuses on industry data analysis, market research, and preparation of analytical reports and publications that provide insights into the performance and development of the asset management industry. Roles & Responsibilities: - Analyze domestic and global financial trends relevant to the fund management and pensions industry.
- Collect, manage, and analyze industry data relating to mutual funds and pension schemes, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Develop analytical insights and data visualizations to support industry research and MUFAP publications.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy and relevance of data published on MUFAP’s website and publications.
- Prepare analytical reports, newsletters, and industry publications highlighting industry trends and performance.
- Contribute research inputs for MUFAP’s Yearbook and other industry publications.
- Support investor awareness and education initiatives, including seminars and webinars, by preparing research and educational materials.
- Assist in preparing background papers and reference materials for Board, committee, and working group meetings.
- Monitor regulatory changes, industry and market developments, and provide data-driven insights for the industry.
- Collaborate with internal departments on data analysis and industry research projects.
Preferred Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including experience with data visualization and financial datasets.
- Strong analytical writing and report drafting skills, with the ability to convert financial data into clear industry insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Qualification/Educational and Experience requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or Business Analytics
- A Master’s degree or CFA Program candidate will be preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience in research, analysis, or related fields.
